James A. Occhipinti, is President of Consolidated Air Support Systems (CASS), LLC, and Air Mobility Express (AMX), and Chief Business Officer of CASS Professional Services Corp. (CPS).
James has over nineteen years of aviation experience and has worked around the world as a leading airline operational efficiencies and technology expert. As a Principal for the world’s largest airline consulting firm, AMR Consulting, a division of American Airlines, he consulted to over one hundred and fifty airlines and aviation organizations in over fifty countries. He has authored industry papers on Airline Safety in a Deregulated Environment, Current Trends in Airline Automation, Modern Airline System Operations Control Methodologies, also co-authored AERO-NAFTA Industry Impact, and current flight operations management curriculum used at the IATA (International Air Transport Association) Institute of Air Transportation, and is recognized as a leading industry speaker for airline safety and operational efficiencies.
He is an FAA licensed Airline Transport Pilot with Turbojet and line flying experience. Lieutenant James Occhipinti served as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Minor Studies in Computer Science, as well as a graduate with distinction from the IATA Institute of Air Transportation in Geneva Switzerland (Operations Management).
He developed a varied international and domestic airline background through the management of many American Airlines commercial lines of business such as AMR Consulting, Airline Operations Consulting where He managed business efficiency studies and recommended methodology improvements for efficient airline operation. As manager of the SABRE Decision Technologies Flight Operating System, he contracted with over thirty-five airlines around the world, providing state of the art airline automation services and expertise. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge in passenger inflight entertainment and associated technology, as well as aircraft post delivery modification and cabin improvement.
He began his career at American Airlines in the newly formed SABRE Group as a Project Manager for the Data Management Services revenue accounting and data processing division. He was charged with the responsibility of developing the third party airline ticket processing service offering; as well as launching the division into data processing outsourcing services to the insurance industry. These early efforts have allowed the division to generate over thirty million in revenue annually.
